How to Get the Real-Deal Lindsay Necklace—Without the Whole Felony Thing

How to Get the Real-Deal Lindsay Necklace—Without the Whole Felony Thing

Care for a memento of Lindsay Lohan's latest troubles? Now's your chance!

On the eve of Lohan's felony court date, Kamofie & Co., the jewelry store from which the troubled actress purportedly lifted a $2,500 diamond necklace, has announced plans to auction off the bauble to the highest bidder and donate the proceeds to charity.

Pssst! Linds, get in on this. It could be a steal!

A rep for Kamofie says that the store's owner just wants to have something "good" come out of the Lindsay fiasco (presumably aside from all the free publicity Kamofie's been generating on top of the payday from its sale of the surveillance tape).

"We invite the public to make suggestions as to the most appropriate charity to receive the benefit of the sale's proceeds," sats spokesman Christopher Spencer, adding that people can do so at necklacevideo.com.

The auction will not take place until after the criminal case against the Mean Girls star is resolved since the necklace is currently being held as evidence should the case go to trial.

On that note, with just about 24 hours until Lohan is set to go back to court for the necklace-napping charge (we'll be livestreaming the show tomorrow morning beginning at 8 a.m.), she is still trying to work out a deal that will spare her jail time. Her lawyer, Shawn Holley, and prosecutor Danette Meyers are planning to meet with Judge Keith Schwartz today in hopes of reaching a last-minute plea bargain.

Will they figure something out? We're not holding our breath.
